With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it's hard to keep my mind off the upcoming seasonal festivities... Thanksgiving is probably — most definitely — a foodie's favorite holiday. At the risk of sounding cheesy, I'll say that any holiday I get to spend with loved ones is my favorite. Regardless, pretty much every holiday in my family features an abundance of good food!
Many of us have yearly, ongoing traditions that they partake in. Whether it's going to the same place every year, watching football on the couch after the meal, tuning in to the Macy's Day Parade, making a signature dish or even pulling an all-nighter to kick off Black Friday, everyone seems to have their own routines.
For me, my favorite tradition is catching up with my cousins and other relatives. Having a few female cousins close to my age is great because we get to bond with each other, gossip, laugh and drink wine, among other things.
This year one of my cousins is hosting Thanksgiving at her house for the first time. Slowly but surely the hosting responsibilities are being passed down to my generation... I can't wait to host a holiday, myself some day!
I'm interested in hearing your Thanksgiving traditions... Anyone have any unique ones? Do you fry your turkey? Do you save the wishbone and make a wish? Do you tell everyone what you're thankful for?
