I love the fall. It's probably my favorite season, next to summer. I think the two seasons come in at a tie for me.

You have summer, filled with fun social gatherings, great weather, vacations, and lots of sun. Then you have fall, surrounded with the wonderful scenery of changing leaves in all their beauty. It's really enchanting to see the varying shades of red, brown and yellow, slowly wafting down to the ground...

It doesn't hurt that my birthday's in fall, too (Scorpio pride)! The weather is just starting to cool down to where being outside is still amazing and of course all of the fall-themed foods start to appear! Pumpkin, apples, cinnamon, nutmeg and so much more... Mmm!

Can I take a moment to just appreciate Wawa's pumpkin spice coffee? So amazing. I stopped by the place just to get a coffee at 5 PM the other day. They need to get some more Wawas out where I live.

Speaking of pumpkin, I've got a ton of pumpkin puree left over from when I roasted an entire pumpkin to make this recipe. That pie or "cheese" cake, or whatever you want to call it is so good, I had give away half of it or I would have eaten it all, myself. In one sitting, probably. I'm going to make something else with the excess pumpkin puree very soon (see below).

In addition to the excess pumpkin, after today I'll also have a surplus of apples! I'm going apple-picking with my boyfriend at Grim's Greenhouse. What fun! I'll try and take some pictures, even though I forgot my camera. Oops! With that being said, I'm going to be cooking up a storm this season.

Tonight I won't be doing any cooking! I'm celebrating a friend's birthday at a place called Rodizio Grill. It's a unique concept: a "Brazilian Steakhouse", where it's essentially all-the-meat-you-can-eat and you can flag down the wait staff for more until you're full. I've never been there, but I'm excited to try a new restaurant! I'm gonna eat lots of lamb, one of my favorites I don't get to indulge in so often.
