It's August 31st and my Whole30 challenge has officially come to a close... After a junk food stint I had (yikes), this was a refreshing way to reset my body back to eating the way I know I should. I feel healthy. I feel how a human should feel. Cutting processed foods and sugar in general out of my diet really did wonders!

I had a few interesting experiences along the way. Although I gave up alcohol, I still found myself in a bar or two. What did I order? Club soda with lime, served with a side of weird looks. People were intrigued.

While at the bar, a couple friends asked what this "Whole30 thing" was about. After explaining, I told them I would send more information. To my surprise, my friends decided to join me on the challenge! Since then, I have been their official mentor and nutritional guru.

Every individual has slightly different experiences while on the Whole30. Here is a day-by-day timeline of the typical feelings people go through. It's a very informative and interesting read!

Thankfully, I didn't experience the "hangover" or "kill all the things" phases, but weirdly enough, I did have a food dream (go figure, right?). One day, I dreamed that I was eating chocolate and popcorn. What the heck?! I don't even like popcorn. Luckily when I woke up, I realized it was just a dream and that I had not, in fact, broken the rules. Phew!

So now that I'm done, I decided to treat myself to a plate of Paleo Coconut Flour Pancakes with a small drizzle of real maple syrup for breakfast and a glass of this awesome organic wine with dinner.

Would you ever try the Whole30 Challenge
